European Championship 1989 was the sixteenth edition of the event, organized by Sweden. It was hosted in Örebro and Stockholm, Sweden from September 23 to October 1, 1989. Final match between Sweden and Italy. The hosts won the silver medal at the European Championship. That result was surprise for most of fans in the europe. Now this is impossible! His volleyball career ended in 1997 after winning 2 tournaments in Sweden because of injury (injury of knee).
