Germany - Poland (full match)

Poland won against Germany 3:1 (26:24, 28:26, 23:25, 25:21) to gain the promotion to their second gold medal match in the history of the World Championship. Once again Mariusz Wlazly topped the Polish scorers with 22 points that included three aces and one block. Mateusz Mika added 17 of his own while Karol Klos contributed six blocks among his 14 points. Germany’s Dennis Kaliberda, Georg Grozer and Christian Fromm finished with 18, 14 and 12 points respectively. Poland coach, Stephane Antiga said: "We are very happy. It wasn’t our best match. The key to today’s victory was patience. We were a favorite for the first time. We wait for the final with Brazil, they are strong but we are not afraid of them, we showed that we can win against them".
