Matteo Martino in The Olympics 2008

Martino was in junior age then. He was just 21, but he played in starting six in most of matches in Beijing. He presented perfectly shape. Thanks to his great play Italy defeated Poland in quarter-final. Finally Italy took 4th place in The Olympics. Martino was on the 5th place in the ranking of best receivers (with 69.48%) and on the 23th place among best scorers. He scored 61 points in Beijing (53 on attack, 5 ace serves and 3 blocks).
