Sebastian Świderski ends his career
On the official website of ZAKSA Kędzierzyn Koźle have appeard a statement that the contract with Sebastian Świderski is dissolved by the player's request. Polish volleyball team member struggles with injuries since a long time.

NightFox ·Giba suffered from leukemia as a child. He started playing volleyball when he was 12. His first official tournament on the national team was South American Championships 1995. In 2002, at the height of his fame, in his organism marijuana was detected. He was disqualified for a few months. The biggest punishment for him was sullying his spotless reputation. He wanted to explain it in several interviews. Finally he decided to take part in the anti-drug campaign conducted by Brazilian federation of volleyball. He decided also to admit to smoking. He declared that he won't do it anymore. In 2003 he returned to the team with tarnished reputation and out of shape. He was just a reserve player. Breakthrough came in the final match of World League 2003 against Yugoslavia in Madrid. At the beggining Brazil was loosing so Rezende decided to put Giba into the court. Rezende hit the jackpot. Brazil started playing well and won in incredible tie-break 31:29. Giba seal the victory by his incredible last attack in that game. He is the most recognized volleyball player in the world. He was MVP of The Olympics 2004, World Championships 2006 and World Cup 2007. After his last match he said: "I am leaving national team, but I'm so proud that I could be with this team for 20 years, with this boys, with this coach".29 27019

vatreni ·There are the greatest moments of Swedish volleyball in the history. Thanks to the victory with Soviet team they advanced to the final match against Italy. They lost the final match and took 2nd place. That was the best result of Sweden in that sport. The biggest stars of that team was: Bengt Gustavsson, Jan Hedengård and Lars Nilsson.

vatreni ·Two years ago in Izmir Poland had caused quite a major sensation by striking gold at the European Championship and this afternoon there was one guy out there that will be certainly remembered as the match winner of the classification game against Russia played here in Vienna. Bartosz Kurek is only 23 years old, but already a real star who this afternoon won the personal duel with Maxim Mikhaylov. With this bronze Poland adds an eighth medal to its showcase and this is certainly a great result also for Italian-born head coach Andrea Anastasi who accepted this past March the challenge to mentor this team with the main goal to claim a medal at next year’s London Olympics.15 4560
