After Stocznia Szczecin went bankrupt, Polish representative opposite spiker joined in ONICO Warszawa last December. Kurek was main scorer and leader in the team as everyone expected. Owing to his wonderful performances, ONICO Warszawa finished 2nd place in the table of Plusliga 2018/19 season's regular phase.

The Dutch Thijs ter Horst who is tall outside spiker led his team to the 9th place in the World Championship. Thijs' attack and block were very high and wonderful throughout the competition. He will play for Samsung Bluefangs in Korean V-League 2018/19 season.
