France maintained their good form in the World League when they defeated Russia 3:1 (25:12, 22:25, 25:21, 25:18). Benjamin Toniutti, France captain said: "It’s a great victory tonight against Russia. I think they were determined but we stayed focused during the whole match, even after losing the second set when their setter came on and made a difference. It's a great three-point victory. We must go on this way".
