Tsvetan Sokolov was stopped by Italians. Italy advanced to the final just like 2 years ago in Vienna (they lost with Serbia in the final). Thanks to the victory against Bulgaria in the semi-final they won ticket to the World Championships 2014 in Poland. Young star Luca Vettori played great game scoring 21 points. “Today we once again started slowly as it happened against the Netherlands and Finland and today maybe it was the most awful set we had in the tournament, but I have no words anymore to tell about how proud I am of my players” said Italian coach Mauro Berruto.
