A powerful performance from Simon Hirsch allowed Germany to beat Kazakhstan in straight sets in their first match of Group 3 of the World League 2017. He scored 19 points. Simon could count on the help of his teammates, Christian Fromm and Ruben Schott, who scored 10 points each. On the other side of the net only Vitaliy Erdshtein was able to keep up with his opponents, but his 11 points were not enough for Kazakhstan to win a single set.
