Michał Kubiak nice spike vor 12 Jahre +1
can't see where it goes
super cool!
Yeah Gardini and Bas were both amazing.. both scored so easily and dominated the middle unlike anyone you see on court these days.. or well perhaps Simon.
at 1:45 you see Nummerdor duck for cover.. he's been doing that ever since Dennis hit him in the face the olympics...
Bas van de Goor has never been blocked in his entire career.... implying that he could be is beyond ridiculous
Yeah I remember this, this was more like a 2nd or 1st meter spike :) cool to finally see this online
Anyone notice the double first tempo's that Brazil was playing? Or Bas van de Goor in general? he was so amazing..
I have the other match too, which is better I think :) Glad you like it!
Netherlands - Cuba (SET4) vor 12 Jahre 0
yeah he was 17.. I'll try to upload other sets when I have time. I have other matches between cuba and Netherlands from around this time.
Yeah I have tons more on VHS tape (38 tapes in total), just not a lot of time to record, transform and upload. I know how to fix the sound now, I'll fix this one when I have time. Glad everyone likes it :)
Wow can't beliee he still plays. Great video. He truly was one of the best. Kind of a sad video, knowing that he won't be able to play for much longer... or has he already quit?
The replays were amazing! I was thinking about this spike today, that's how amazing it is. You ave no idea how hard his is to do.
Stokr won this on his own
Dante Amaral (4th movie) vor 12 Jahre 0
In his younger years when he played as opposite he might've been even more powerful than now. Also right from the beginning he's had a most excellent technique in reception.
the italian volleyball in this moments sucks as opposed to in the 90's. Which is still a legacy that weighs down heavy on Italian NT team memebers. So people should forget about the old days.. same ehre in Holland, so good thing I'm bringing it up! But sorry off topic.

Probably Simon made the right decision, although everyone would've liked to see him in the NT for one more year. But if he wants to play abroad then it's probably better to make the decision now so he still has some years ahead of him when the 2 years pass (he'll be 25 and you're generally at your best when you're 27 they say (although the best teams have players that are significantly older)).
Yeah amazing. Too bad that it takes so long to get this good and then the body can't handle the stress anymore. But oh well, I think his body has deserved some rest after all these years of stress.

He proved to be one of those key players in turning a team into a winning team. Espeically proven by Kazan winning the championship two years ago even with significantly less able attackers than they had before or after. Also a great inspiration for tall setters.

Blangé also named him as one of the best setters ever and that was 10 years ago!
RenanZ: you're from brazil, how can you say you've never seen something like that before? *coughs* Dante *coughs*
Bulgaria - Cuba vor 13 Jahre +1
I don't see how you can blame this on Alexiev.. I heard about his error, but now that I've seen it I think it's greatly exagerated. It was in the second set and it didn't even finish the set, the ace after did.
Georg Grozer (3rd movie) vor 13 Jahre +3
Kurek keeps getting owned in this video :P
Espeically with Rolando Despaigne, Zlatanov and Nikolov I think Piacenze would be a title contender even, especially if other positions are filled with strong players
