The first match between Portugal and Netherlands. Portugal won the first set, but, Netherlands has more options on the bench and have stronger players like Bontje, Kooy and Nimir Abdel-Aziz. Nimir had a great game with some nice blocks, serves and sets. He said: "We haven't been this good in our preparation matches, so I'm very happy to win the first match of the competition. But we will have to be aware tomorrow, as Portugal will want to come back from this".
