Poland - Germany (SET3)

Poland won in the last match of the first day of the Men's Olympic tournament against Germany. They won all sets. Robert Kromm was the most effective player on the German side, while Mariusz Wlazly and Winiarski earned the best points for Poland. It was clear from the beginning of the third set that Germany had lost any hope of success. Good performances on blocking and serving made it easier for Poland on this important debut in the Beijing Olympic Games.
