That's sad. It's just this season though and he sure will get a lot of money in Qatar… Next year he will find a club in the highest level again for sure.

What was the exact reason for breaking up the contract?

@jais Officially it's because of “bad performances", but that's false he was the best scorer at almost every match. But everyone knows that it's because of financial reasons.

@Sherlock the president of Verona stated that he repeatedly violated the club policy regarding coronavirus prevention, resulting in a forced isolation that prevented him from playing against Milano. He was officially warned many times before the final decision was taken, although I agree with you that money was also a factor.

@Sherlock What a news! :o Looks like he is a difficult person to manage, due to history of his conflicts (Ngapeth and France NT, now Verona…). 

I wonder where they will acquire new opposite, maybe chinese league when they finish..? Till then they could play Kaziyski on the opposite and Jaeschke & Asparuh on the outside hitter. What other possibilities do they have?

@jais Actually he got a new agent last week, and the week after his contract is broken with Verona. There's an obvious correlation between those two events. I heard that he'll easily find a new club, let's hope it's true.

That's what I thought, but it means that they have to go without Kaziyski's reception ? Bad idea. I would go with Asparuhov as an opposite. Jaeschke and Kaziyski are for me superior in reception. But maybe they'll find a new opposite after all.

@Sherlock Well obviously it won't be hard for a prolific scorer like him to find a new club.

But Kaziyski is still superior in the attack than Jaeschke and Asparuh.. They could keep him on the outside and just make a combination that he will attack from zone 1 when he is in the back row. But I don't think there's anything to be worried about, it's Radostin Stoytchev as a coach, he will have things sorted out.

@jais Yes, I'm really reassured for them because their coach is Radostin Stoytchev. I'm waiting for sunday to see what they're gonna do. Maybe they're gonna play with Kimerov after all.

@MatheusAndrade Sorry, I don't speak portuguese ? but I suppose those are the free opposites (what about the last two in your message, I don't understood ?). But do you think they can afford buying a new “world-class” opposite after firing one of the best in the world for financial reasons ? They are less prolific than Boyer, so probably a little cheaper but I don't think it's in their intentions to buy a new player.

@MatheusAndrade There are rumours about Ghafour but also about Arpad Baroti and some danish youngster. 

You mentioned Gasparini..he has a good contract in Calcit, in Slovenia and he moved back home with his family, so I doubt he would accept the offer. Besides, he is aging and soon won't be on the level for the starting opposite in Italian superlega anymore.

@VolleyTurco He was already replaced by Abrahan Gavilan, from Cuba. He was in his very best form in Turkey, when playing in Fenerbahce and in Halkbank. I wonder where will he continue.

Why do you think it would be a transfer and not an immediate help to the club where he started his career. I see that you are totally uninformed about the situation in the Ribnica club because you don't even know who the coach is in the same club. Maybe the name Milana Simojlović means something to you in world volleyball.

@Sherlock One of the best statisticians and scouts in Europe. With a long international career. After all, he showed his knowledge at the European Championship, where he was scout Bobi Kovac. I think that championship was in Paris right? And if such an expert can be the coach of Ribnica, why wouldn't Uros play for such a coach.

@SlobodanNiketić Okay, I understand your arguments, but still.. Kovacevic in Kraljevo, it would be disappointing. I enjoyed a lot watching him play every week-end in Italy and in Champions League.

@Sherlock I completely agree with you, but the situation because of Covid 19 has changed the lives of all of us a lot. It was hard for me today to watch the empty stands in Civitanova. We hope for better days for all of us and volleyball. Maybe there will be a transfer with Uroš. And I sincerely wish him that.

@SlobodanNiketić I heard that Kovacevic joined Kraljevo, but not for all season, only for a short period. Kovacevic signed earlier contract with Chinese club, and, because in China they played finish of last season some time ago without foreigners. Of course, there was information, that foreigners won't be able to play in China this season, but they changed their mind and foreign players can play in China in season 2020/21. I don't have information that Kovacevic broke contract in China or something.

@nyshek I never mentioned the breach of contract by Kovacevic or his transfer to Kraljevo. Just help the former club as much as possible due to the constant changes in the information coming from China. His contract is still valid with the club from China of course.

@nyshek And Urnaut. In my opinion he is more interesting player than Maruf.

@Lin,Yu-chieh[Jay] I read somewhere that his situation is complicated, because he has valid contract with Perugia, but president and head coach don't want him there, because he dissapointed them with his play last season. He's probably looking for new club, there were some rumours about that he could join Belogorie Belogorod, but he didn't sign contract with that club.

@nyshek thank you. This is really sad if it is true! I did not get to watch last season but find it's hard to believe Phillipo Lanza was a disappointment. Also, I like the club coach (I think he is coaching Poland men's national team as well) and think he has been always passionate with vball and games. Hope this can be resolved soon!!

@KVOLLEY this is strange. He was injured....few years ago. In next seasons he played all the time, except one period when he had injured foot. It's first time when I hear about situation like this.

@nyshek I heard the same story too. His manager said he's capable to play the whole season and the injured was old. His manager is asking compensation now.

@ojvolleyball This player had a knee injury in 2012, and nothing since this season. But is this difficult financial crisis, the manager of the team doesn't want to take any risk.

@Sherlock Risk of injury is something normal in professional sport. Especially, that player who replace Filip, had the same injury few years ago....This is sick....

@johanneslei I wouldn't say Marechal is that good. Although in a combination with a good opposite and 1-2 others (they already have Vincic setting) they could be dangerous.

But as far as I know they have some youngsters on the opposite...?

@jais Yup no experience there, Linus Weber, huge talent played as second oppo behind nimir at Milan last year, unsurprisingly saw very limited court time tho. Second oppo is a young MB transitioning to OPP. Will still be interesting and should be enough for 2nd place, Weber is really good. However no chance in a best of 5 Series against Berlin though, you’re right. Didn’t follow Marechal the last 1-2 years, he was indeed talented some time ago 

@jais worsley and vincic great setting duo tho, and Nemo can really standout at MB, dont know about van de veld, but if Weber comes out strong all they are missing is another strong OH

@johanneslei nice, so if Weber plays good, they can be dangerous, I guess.

There was also a roumor about Rok Možič, slovenian wonder boy (2002, really good) coming to Friedriechshafen. He said there were talks with club. He is really talented and could reach very high level abroad. Even though I guess club won't engage another young player, as far as I know, they already have two (3?) very young players. But I would say he could achieve playing level of a starting OH in friedrichshafen. Maybe you know anything else about the matter?

@jais no I don’t have any info. Yes their 4th outside is a young and talented German player, he won’t see any court time at all though. it just came in that they signed David Fiel, Cuban middle blocker what looks like a good deal. Will be interesting.
