COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- Sacred Heart University Men's Volleyball senior Timothy McIntosh was named to the USA Volleyball Collegiate National Team as announced by the association last night. The team includes five outside hitters, five middle blockers, two opposites, two setters and two liberos.

The selection process was an open video tryout to all collegiate athletes. They shared links to their game film for review and their VolleyMetrics stats from before the NCAA cancelation were also analyzed.

Unfortunately, due to the regional and national responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team is not able to train and compete together this summer. USA Volleyball still wanted to acknowledge these  athletes.

McIntosh, a senior, appeared in 55 sets over 16 matches for the Pioneers in the 2020 campaign. He led the Pioneers and the entire country with 3.09 digs per set, that saw him reach double figures on eight occasions and highlighted by a season-best 20 in the win at North Park. He was named to the All-EIVA First Team on March 31.
