There's an international competition in Korea!

The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup Men's Competition will be held in Korea.

The Korea Volleyball Association said on April 8, "We have recently confirmed the hosting of the Challenger Cup in Korea after consultation with FIVB."

The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup will be held at Jamsil Students' Gymnasium in Seoul for 4 days from July 28 to 31, 2022.

A total of 8 teams will participate in the competition. 
1) South Korea, which is host country 
2) relegated team from the 2022 Volleyball Nations League
3) Turkey, which is the winner of the 2021 CEV European Golden League 
4) the winner of the 2022 CEV European Golden League
5) AVC top-ranked team (probably Qatar)
6) NORCECA top-ranked team (probably Cuba)
7) CAVB top-ranked team (probably Tunisia)
8) CSV top-ranked team (probably Chile)

The tournament will be held in a knockout format (Quarterfinals - Semifinals - Final), with the host country South Korea playing its quarterfinal match against the lowest ranked team among the participating teams. Also, The top ranker competes with the bottom ranker and the next top ranker competes with the next bottom ranker. (Host-WR8, WR2-WR7, WR3-WR6, WR4-WR5).

The winning team in this competition will be given the right to participate in the 2023 Volleyball Nations League.
