Timothy McIntosh - EIVA Defensive Player of the Week

Timothy McIntosh is the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week for March 9, 2020. Timothy had the floor covered in four matches for the Pioneers last week, as Sacred Heart posted a 1-3 record. The senior, who had time at both libero and as an outside hitter, collected 54 digs in the four contests, adding four kill on eight swings. In a 3-0 sweep of North Park, he had 20 digs, four kills on five attempts to hit .800, and three assists. He followed with 17 digs against Benedictine (Ill.), 10 digs against Purdue Fort Wayne and seven digs against Ball State. McIntosh leads the EIVA in both digs per set (3.09) and total digs (170). He leads NCAA Division I-II in digs per set, and his total digs ranks second in the nation. This is the first EIVA weekly honor of the season and career for McIntosh.
