@J.P. Same, but watching Russia play on court, the energy level is awful.

@Sherlock oops? secret exposed.

@Sherlock I was thinking about Derouilon, and Bassereau because a few years back I bought the French league season pass online to watch Jean Patry, and I thought some of the younger guys like Derouilon and Bassereau would be on this year’s national team.

@Sherlock watching them play, I am shocked that France isn’t placed higher in the international stage. I hope to see the women’s team began blossom like the men’s team, especially you have a good league.

I have issue accessing the homepage of the men's site, but other than that most things seems normal now.

@Sherlock It's very much a “collegiate” team. As in USA volleyball decided to bring in some University players for experience. I am unsure why they decided to use this team, because the NORCECA championship is the qualifying tournament for the World Championship next year in Russia. But, twelve places will be allocated to top twelves not yet qualified teams of FIVB World Ranking and USA being the highest ranking NORCECA team in worlds and they are top 5 teams currently on the rankings, top 3 excluding Russia and Poland, they don't really need to worry about the qualification of 2022 Worlds Championships.

@Sherlock Thank you, I didn't release they included 15 people, I was like basically the “Olympics” Roster minus Mihkaylov. I really don't which one is going to EuroVolley, Klets is really tall but he doesn't seem to be as athletic as some of the Opposite. Zhigalov might just be the transition player for Russia, I think he is good but there are better option out there.

I just don’t know which team will play their full team and which team will take a break. I wrote that down because I am unsure of how Italy, Poland, Russia and France will decide, as we all saw how Italy just pull their youngster to VNL and prepare Olympic close doors.  So, there really isn’t anything guarantee for those teams, but thanks god France decided to try play Euros 2021 ???

@Sherlock Weigel has like 3 Frenchman and Honestly I hope Boyer makes a comeback with his hitting because it’s not good. Also, I have to read translated Polish articles to understand the situation ???

@Sherlock Wait when did he move to Poland instead of Turkey

@Sherlock I would say Clevenot is a bit more consistent and more powerful with his spike, but Kovacevic is definitely a bit more “creative” with his touch. I do like Clevenot has the hardest cross crush.

@PanicVB He has the hard cross, push tips and faint tips and the ball control is amazing.

@Sherlock They manage to put it through from the pool of death, they manage to beat the team with Leon and they manage to beat tall wall of Russia. It's the second time in a row that a father and son duo won.

@Sherlock I am pleasantly surprise to see France winning the Olympics. It really comes into a surprise for me. Interestingly they won Poland twice and Russia three times. It really isn't a fluke when they crown themselves as the absolute best in the world. They earn it and they have the numbers to back it.

@Sherlock I wish he is as amazing as his club season. It's just such a shame that he couldn't make it. I mean some English volleyball channel wrote off Tillie because of his club season but I think Tillie would have gone to the second Olympics regardless of his performance. Unless he could score at all, which I think he is a better player during national team than club.

@Sherlock It's sad and I really like his style of play. It's just that I think he lost the battle between the other 2 outside hitters. Louati and Clevenot. They are better in the current situation, I think Rossard wasn't score as well as the two, which is really sad. He is probably the only member who isn't recovering an injury or retired from national team to not return to the Olympics.

@J.P. Yes, he did play a few matches as a outside hitter. I think since week 2 when Grebbenikov returns to the roster.

Kovačević injured 2 years ago +2

Serbia has two starter down. That's just really sad and I am unsure how will they recover with Kovacevic out.

@J.P.  I didn't know how he is doing, I just assume Lyneel is able to play as a receive and defend. I didn't think he is able to swing but evidently he could barely get the ball down. Lyneel at the moment felt more like Kevin Tillie in 2017.

@James_Adrian I watch a bit of USA in VNL 2021 and Patch isn't hitting the mark.
