No-one would be happier than me to see Valerio in NT once again (he's my favourite player) ...but, as I wrote previously, I'm afraid that won't happen ?

@Kk15: yes also Sava could be a nice option as an opposite. But, to tell the truth, he or Zizzo makes no difference since the idea behind this solution is that of playing with three spikers/receivers on the court.

@Akolita: if that is true, then Fox has changed his mind 'cause he had told he didn't want to play MB anymore (consider he hasn't played in that role for...how long? Ten years?? Or maybe more... I don't remember exactly).

@Roninho: I'm afraid we won't see Vermiglio in NT anymore. Berruto has chosen Travica as first setter and Valerio would never "play second-fiddle" to anyone! Btw he is the only one of the previous group of players I would have called back (along with Mastro...and, yes Harleym, he made the difference in ECh for me too).

I would like to be clearer about my previous comments: I'm not criticizing Berruto; I'm just saying that I'm surprised (and a bit disappointed...okay I admit it ? ) by some choices he made. It's just my opionion. I still think that there's no need for us to have 3 opposites whereas an additional MB would have been more useful: Lasko is fine and young Sabbi has impressed me a lot so far; and even in case they both wouldn't play well, we could use Zaytsev as a false/fake opposite with Sava and Parodi as receivers. And that would be a pretty interesting solution!
Last thing: oioi said that WC is not the right place for experiments. I totally agree! That's the reason why Berruto should have taken the same group he had in Ech (except for Maruotti for the reasons i've already explained here and elsewhere). Now let's wait and see what will happen!

@Kk15: Exactly! What you wrote in your last paragraph is exactly what I also think!! Maybe, Mauro didn't expect to reach such a good result with his guys so quickly, and now that "external" expectations are changed he's starting to feel the pressure!! I also like him a lot: both as a person and a coach. But, for me, he should insist on his original project! Otherwise, what else could he do? Will he call back Zorzi, Lucchetta and Cantagalli as well??! ;-D

oh Kk15, just one more thing about the setters: are you sure Mauro could call Falasca to play for Italy?? Or maybe you meant Marco FALASCHI??? ;-D

Honestly I can't give you 5 stars 'cause I don't like the music; but the images are great...and Matey is simply awesome.

What I really don't understand about Berruto's choices is that when he became the coach of our NT he said "We need a change; we can't count on those players that have done so much for so long with NT any longer. I want new players and I want to focus on the young ones" (okay, maybe these aren't exactly his words, but the meaning of his speech was this). And I admit that I totaly did agree with him and his ideas. What then?? First he called back Mastro (okay, I can understand that)...but now, even Fei?? C'mon...there's no need to take 3 opposites with us. And I don't believe he thinks he can use Fei as a MB also, 'cause Fei DOESN'T want to play in that role anymore!! I expected he would leave Maruotti at home, because Gabriele is not in shape atm (except his latest performance with Latina)...but Barone is playing very very well. Imho it's a mistake.
