NightFox, is there any chance to make video for Danail Milushev or Victor Yosifov?
The new motto of Zyta - Better mean, than average :D
Henrique has very high expectations of setters - if 90% of the sets are not against bare net under 0% positive reception, the setter is "nothing special" :D
Jelte Maan is the best libero among spikers and the best spiker among liberos ?
Ricardo, Ball and Grbic are the only setters that can make average spikers look like Matey Kazyiski Zhekov is on the level of the good guys - best setter WL 2006, second in World Cup 2007, top 5 in 2008 olympics and so on. 2010 was not his good year He is not wit the top 3, but he is among the better ones
Falasca, Zhekov and Zagumny are at one level
My opinion, too, Zyta. Trentino are more convincible so far than Cuneo. From all matches played, they look better. The question is that both semifinal on CL and the final will be in single games
Zhekov plays fast with Yordanov, who always has high percentage of attack with him. This happens when the reception is good
I hope it is not only me. There are movies in this site, which are example of what I am talking about https://volleybox.net/bulgaria-russia-short-cut-m703
If you say that Zhekov is having only bad moments or is a bad setter, this is based on no arguments or evidence. The question is not is he like Grbic, who is better, the question is human perception bias
Someone is watching only the bad moments and makes one-sided statistics. I've seen a lot from the other side. Yes, he is not unpredictable like Ricardo, but I have seen often good plays from him. And I didn't hear anything about serve, block and defense, where he was in top 10 on the Olympics
I don't think that he is slow overall. He sets pretty fast sometimes, but he has to cooperate with players, who are best at high sets, not fast ones. And he does sometimes excellent job with MBs. Look at the game Bulgaria - Cuba 2009 WL or Bulgaria - Serbia 2WL 2006 at the final round or Bulgaria - Italy 2009 ECH He is best with low sets for fast attacks with the MB and Tsvetanov works best with him
I hoped for more specifics on the strong and weak spots, to better understand his play
Henrique, what do you think about Zhekov as player overall and as setter? What is he lacking to be on the level of Grbic?
Well, the win of ZAKSA s bad news for Bulgarian fens and you know what happens to the bringer of bad news ?
Poland and France get gold and silver because the group was weaker // or that helped them
Saku, are you a version of Henrique? Why should you be glad from such thing?
The vets made phenomenal mistakes to cover the good moments
In volleyball the groups are not formed like in football. Here you can have Italy, Brazil and Germany /their volleyball equivalent / in one group, which is madness and the whole competition looses sense. This happens for every tournament level on every age systematically in the last three or four years
