Club had good coach and level of volleyball practices was good, majority of the players were professional. Other than that I don't really see much positive in this organisation.
Pros
- nice fans, good atmosphere at home games
- close to Prague (45 mins by public transportation)
- possibilities to practice extra
Cons
- salary delays (up to 6 weeks)
- president is a dictator (if he just wants to he can resign players without any reason)
- mold in apartments
- small city (people don't really speak english)
- really small weightlifting room (can fit 3 players properly, limited options of equipment
- club doesn't provide insurance
- physio doesn't understand any english

AERO Odolena Voda is great for developing as a player with lots of training sessions and gym sessions. There is decent pay and accommodation is included but the quality of apartment varies wildly. Some have mold while others are more modern. The club president and board of presidents are quick to cut players if they don’t like them. 2 players this season were performing well but got cut in favor of having Czech players on the court. Lots of politics involved. It’s a good first time opportunity but I wouldn’t recommend if you’re already at a decent level.
Pros
- Decent fans, large in number but can be quiet
- Very friendly and personable players
- Apartment was included with decent pay
- Close to Prague
- There is one share car to share amongst the team.
- Has a partnership with a local restaurant BUT you have to pay 4 euros for each meal ticket you use
Cons
- You must pay for your own health insurance as a foreigner
- Local players don't speak English unless spoken to first
- Very hostile club president & board. Eager to remove underperforming players
- City of Odolena is very small and kind of sad to live in
- Club manager can often be unhelpful and he is always busy
- Favoritism towards the Czech athletes
- Late on payment the last 2 months
