Just the best actions by German spiker Jochen Schöps. He was named best scorer at the first 2008 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Düsseldorf, where Germany ended up in first place and qualified for the 2008 The Olympics in Beijing.
He won the Champions League 2006/07 with VfB Friedrichshafen, and was awarded "MVP". With Iskra Odintsovo he won the bronze medal at the Champions League 2008/09 and also was individually awarded "Best Scorer". He replaced Georg Grozer before season 2012/13 in Resovia Rzeszów. Jochen was the best German player in years 2007-2009.

Well he definitely is my favorite opposite in the world. He's so calm and relaxed. I agree with everything WOJT said, he's a very well rounded player. It must be very frustrating to play against him, because he has the ability to score with such ease.

And yeah he does have a lot of power, I wouldn't say as much as Stanley though. I think Stanley needs Ball to be effective, if you have Schops in your team, you'll pretty much always have a decent chance at winning, no matter who the setter is.

About player: He is great spiker who is destinated to be the best scorer of the team and he often is. He is very clever player, with great technical skills, huge spike range and great strength. He is efficient because he always looks for the best solution in the attack and he doesn't try to score putting nail by nail in opposite's curt, in my oppinion that's his advantage over Stanley and Wlazly. Serve is also he's strong side.

Bronko is right....but he is definitely as powerful as Stanley...He rarely shows it because he often plays with less power for with more overview. I've seen both live. I think Jochen Schöps is the most effective opposite player in the world.

He may not be as spectacular as Wlazly or as powerful as Stanley, but when it comes to effectivness he is definitely one of the worlds best opposites besides Visotto and Miljkovic. And beeing effective, what means making the point is everything an opposite has to do. Also, only a few players like Giba or Winiarski play as smart and have the same feeling for the court that schöps has.
