Second final of Russian Superliga 2012/13. Match between Ural Ufa (5th place of regular season) and Belogorie Belgorod (7th place of regular season) was battle between two spikers: Maxim Zhygalov and Leandro Vissotto. Brazilian player played just like in his best years. Ural lost twice as hosts. Belgorod can breathe a sigh of relief. Gennady Shipulin's team won again (also in 5 sets, the result of the fifth set: 10:15). Great game of Muserskiy, Zhygalov and Vissotto. "Now we have two chances to win the final, and we know how to use them" - said coach of Belgorod. Now the competition moves to Belgorod. The third match will be played on May 11th.

Belogorie Belgorod defeated Dynamo Moscow in the match for third place in the Russian Cup 2014 and won the bronze medal of this competition. In front of home crowd, they beat Dynamo Moscow in three sets (25:20, 25:21, 25:8). Even Ivan Zaytsev (he scored 9 points) couldn’t help the team from Moscow. Belogorie’s attack was divided into three players: Dmitriy Muserskiy (17 points), Maxim Zhigalov (17 points) and Dmitriy Ilinykh (10 points). The third set was disaster for Dynamo. They took only eight points.

Belogorie Belgorod had secured the top position in advance, while Paris Volley was not hoping for a miracle to leave the bottom of the table, so the coaches of both teams could afford experimenting with the players on the court. Thus, the French team tried their middle blocker Ardo Kreek as an opposite in this match. All the sets of Tuesday’s match followed practically the same scenario - both teams fought hard till the second technical time-out, and then the hosts took the advantage and rushed ahead, even when they put new players on court. This match presented to the fans quite a lot of long thrilling rallies and kill blocks. But the home team prevailed over the opponent in all aspects of the game while making much fewer mistakes. The top scorer of the day was Belogorie’s opposite Maxim Zhigalov with 17 points followed by his teammate Dmitriy Ilinykh with 14 points. Marko Bojic from Paris Volley scored 14 points for his team.
