In the first two sets Bulgaria made too many unforced errors and that was severely punished. The only watchable set is the third, where the level of the game is equal on both sides. Bulgarian middle-blockers vs Germany and its spikers. Germany became the deserved champion - the first team with the best preparation for the tournament. Christian Fromm was the best player in the final with 21 points! Thanks to Viktor Poletaev, Russia won the bronze medal against Poland 3:1.

They won five of their last six World League matches against Cuba. Vladimir Nikolov led Bulgaria with 13 points, while Todor Skrimov added 12 points and Teodor Todorov scored 11 points, including five from blocks. No player from Cuba scored more than seven points! They have won six World League matches this season, while only winning one last year. Bulgaria is on the second place in Group C, while Cuba is in fourth place.

Jani Jeliazkov led his team to the match for the gold medal. After five sets he scored 21 points followed by Todor Aleksiev who scored 19 points. Bulgaria was better in the block and attack while Poland had stronger service. Artur Szalpuk was best scorer in the Polish team with 23 points while Szymon Romać scored 18 points and Aleksander Śliwka 15 points. In the final Bulgaria will play against Germany.

This is a new record in vertical jump. Matey Kaziyski showed that he can jump really, really high (he reached 390cm in this video). He had 379cm but 10 years ago. When was young he trained different sports like football, basketball and even bow shooting and horse riding. In 2012 Kaziyski left the Bulgarian National Volleyball Team, together with coach Radostin Stoytchev, due to a scandal with Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BFV). Matey Kaziyski started at 23:23 in the third set of the final of Italian Cup 2015 and ended on 25:23 for Trentino Volley. In match against Modena Volley, Matey didn't helped the team like he always do this, he scored only 11 points. He has just 30% efficiency in attack. After 17 years Modena Volley won Italian Cup. In the last three seasons he played for the Japanese club FC Tokyo and before that he was a member of the Cyprus club Omonia Nicosia. Movie contains moments from game between Bulgaria and Russia. Bulgarian youth may had trouble with setting and spiking, but they defended like Spartans the powerful spikes of Russian National Team, especially Nikolay Penchev, Martin Bozhilov and Valentin Bratoev. Nikolay Penchev (15 digs) was best digger in that game, what you could see on the movie. Russia won in four sets (25:22, 25:23, 25:22, 20:25). Tsvetan Sokolov spike on the triple block
Tsvetan Sokolov showed his class on the triple block in match against Russia. Great action from the World League 2014 Intercontinental round. He was the best player in that game with 19 points! Sokolov finished 14 of 41 balls in attack. He had also 2 aces and 3 blocks. Bulgaria's bad series comprise only one win over USA and 11 losses to end with 4 points. Bulgaria captain Tsvetan Sokolov said: "We didn’t complete the task our coach gave us, we didn’t give our best and I’m sorry for that. There was fear in our game. Tsvetan Sokolov huge serve (Bulgaria - Russia)
Next huge serve by Bulgarian player Tsvetan Sokolov. Dmitriy Ilinykh felt the pain in his hand from this ace. Bulgarian team lost both games with Russia (1:3 and 0:3). Captain Tsvetan Sokolov said: "It was an emotionally positive game for us. We played against the Olympic and European champion. Tsvetan Sokolov lead the team with 20 points to seal the first victory before Bulgarian crowd after an year of expectations. The bad luck against Argentina from the last year (3 losses) is now looking as a bad memory from the past. Without Matey Kaziyski, Andrey Zhekov, Vladimir Nikolov, Nikolay Nikolov, expectations for this Bulgaria were different. Castellani and Sole worked hard for their team again, but were not able to secure a win for Argentina. Brazil - Bulgaria (1st match, part2)
The first match between Brazil and Bulgaria in the World league 2013. Bulgaria dominated the start of the first set, but inspired by the excellence of William Arjona and spiker Wallace de Souza, Brazil equaled the score at (20:20). They traded points, but with Bulgaria’s block stronger, an Eder error gave the Europeans the set (26:24). Brazil struck back in set two, scoring four early points in a row, and keeping their lead. Brazil’s attacking power took them up to (17:10) and with the kills of spiker Leandro Vissotto crucial, they won the set (25:17) Great blocking put Brazil up in the third set, as they got to (8:5), with Leandro Vissotto again leading the attack. Todor Aleksiev and Tsvetan Sokolov tried to put Bulgaria back on terms, but Brazil stayed ahead to win (25:20). Brazil started the fourth set with the same strong defense work, jumping five points ahead to (11:6). Bulgaria were gutsy enough to fight back and take the lead in the set, at (19:18), but Brazil eventually closed it out to win, and take the match. Leandro Vissotto was top scorer with 19 points. Todor Aleksiev was top scorer for Bulgaria with 15 points. The victory puts Brazil at the of group A, with 16 points. Bulgaria are second, with 14 points. Brazil - Bulgaria (1st match, part1)
The first match between Brazil and Bulgaria in the World league 2013. Bulgaria dominated the start of the first set, but inspired by the excellence of William Arjona and spiker Wallace de Souza, Brazil equaled the score at (20:20). They traded points, but with Bulgaria’s block stronger, an Eder error gave the Europeans the set (26:24). Brazil struck back in set two, scoring four early points in a row, and keeping their lead. Brazil’s attacking power took them up to (17:10) and with the kills of spiker Leandro Vissotto crucial, they won the set (25:17) Great blocking put Brazil up in the third set, as they got to (8:5), with Leandro Vissotto again leading the attack. Todor Aleksiev and Tsvetan Sokolov tried to put Bulgaria back on terms, but Brazil stayed ahead to win (25:20). Brazil started the fourth set with the same strong defense work, jumping five points ahead to (11:6). Bulgaria were gutsy enough to fight back and take the lead in the set, at (19:18), but Brazil eventually closed it out to win, and take the match. Leandro Vissotto was top scorer with 19 points. Todor Aleksiev was top scorer for Bulgaria with 15 points. The victory puts Brazil at the of group A, with 16 points. Bulgaria are second, with 14 points. USA - Bulgaria (2nd match, part 1)
The second match between USA and Bulgaria in this year's edition of World League. Bulgaria comes back with fire after the loss in the first match. They won in that match in four sets. The best scorer was Tsvetan Sokolov with 21 points. Group A is decisively the most interesting of all in this year's edition. As many as five teams still retains a chance to advance to the Final Six. Argentina only lost all matches. However, it is worth remembering that Argentina has already have an ensured spot in finals and perhaps is preparing the best shape directly to Final Six. After second match between USA and Bulgaria, coach of John Speraw said: "We knew Bulgaria was a much more capable team than they showed the first night. Victor Yosifov scored six aces in seven sets in matches against USA with all aces in doublets. He was their real killer. Everybody is shaking when he has to serve. The last two aces were decisive in the second match. Bulgarian middle-blocker scored 17 points in two matches in the last week. After this match, both teams have same results in Group A (4 wins and 1 loss per each team). The sports hall in Reno was visited by many Bulgarian emigrants, who sang the Bulgarian anthem but this didn't gave "wings" to the boys of the Balkans. Matthew Anderson scored 15 points in three sets. He had 72% in attack! He was best player of that match. He said: "We knew that Bulgaria was going to put up a good fight. They served really strong and put a lot of pressure on us. We expect them to come back tomorrow and play even stronger. Therefore we need to pick up our game". Bulgarian player Tsvetan Sokolov scored 18 points. Captain of Bulgaria, Todor Aleksiev said: "We need to pick up our attack because we were not spiking so well. The problem wasn’t our reception; the problem was our attack". Other sets of that match in the related movies.
