Yeah, they did:) I'm smiling because it was ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle that won against them :) But honestly, it wasn't Trento's best day, they seemed to have big problems in pretty all the aspects of the game. Just one of those bad days, I suppose, can happen to anyone. The players are just normal people, not robots.
@pearl Then I hope that they will win, just so that you can be happy. I would say that they have a pretty easy job against Innsbruck but after today's unexpected games I don't dare do that ?

@Berny I still think Guma (Zagumny, Guma's his nickname? ) is better than Żygadło? But since Łukasz is one of the 2 setters in our NT, I'm happy he got the chance to play ?
I was really shocked when I watched Skra's problems with Bled. It shouldn't have happened, but then, Trento had a worse day as well today. I guess it just happens.
By the way Skra's middle blocker, young Karol Kłos, made more points than Wlazły in the game. That's a first! And surprising for me too. Never thought very highly of him. We'll see how he develops if he only has more chances to play.

I can't say what is it in the Serbian team but whenever they are not playing against Poland, I root for them. They're my second favourite team, after my own country, of course.
@Zakonka I am far from accusing anyone of lying. I just wrote that you provided the information about his father interview. I have not seen/read/heard of it, so it's normal to write "according to" because you provided the info. By "whom to believe" I meant - interview, wikipedia or Skra's website :) I am just surprised because I thought I saw a clear difference between him and Możdżonek who is 211, so I just thought that he can't be 209. But maybe I just need to watch a game with both of them very closely ;) Just a note - I wouldn't believe in absolutely everything that wikipedia writes because there are mistakes there too, I myself corrected a few (not about volleyball though). Just saying generally, that there can be mistakes too ;) @czilikd Ok, I believe you. I am not inside, just a fan, so if you say you've been in the environment for 10 years, then clearly you have much better info. Thanks :)
@czilikd I got my info from Skra Bełchatów's website. He joined the club in 2008 so I doubt that info on their site is from 2006 ;) Plus, he doesn't look 209, but then his father said it allegedly (according to Zakonka), so there you have a conundrum - whom to believe:) A player's reach in attack and block can change, but not the height in his age:) This much said - and having expressed my doubts - I say: whatever his height, just let him play well (muuuuch better than in WC, please) and without any injuries :)
Last I checked on his team's website and also on Plusliga's website he was 205 cm tall. Has he grown since then? :P
Cool movie but the music is killing me :) Can't stop laughing when I hear it. 5 stars for you and the music actually helped here - you made my day :)

You're right, Berny, that's enough spamming this topic, should be about the movie and the player. So I wish you to see Maxim play live :)
No, no, as far as I know Zibi has a girlfriend, though I am not sure, as I do not follow closely those kind of information about our players, just what I pick up on different volleyball sites :) But since he has still a lot to work on as an opposite and after reading your explanation of Łasko's rapid improvement I thought that maybe he has not found the one :P Of course, Bartman's lacks as opposite could also have something to do with the fact that he only started playing on this position this year :P

Thanks very much for uploading this game, proud! You are a real wizard :)
@Berny So you wish for Maxim to come to a tournament, where you play, with a big banner saying "Good luck, Berny!"? :) @pearl I kind of hoped that Michał would find his true love here so we could turn him to "the good side of the Force" and make him stay here for good ;P Maybe it's not too late, I am going to search for beautiful, talented Polish volleyball players and I am gonna send them to Jastrzębie :P
Pearl, I heard about Michal (the Polish version of Michelino would be Misiek, though it indicates more that you like the person, not that the person is very young:) ) not speaking a word of Polish, but then it is not so unusual a situation, really. All foreign players don't know the language when they come here :P And Baranowicz is foreign, though with Polish origins. The Czech, Slovak, Ukrainian or Belarussian players are in better situation, because their languages are similar, so they pick up Polish more quickly than the others, but otherwise the conditions are the same for all. Plus, he had a fellow Italian on the team (Matej Cernic) and the coach Ljubo Travica speaks Italian fluently :P Ok, I am teasing you ;P It must have been a stressful situation for him - a young player first time in a foreign league, not much experience and yet everyone expects he will play well and lead his team to the title. Maybe it was a little too much for him? But I also think that he improved, you could see it comparing the first games of the season with the last ones.
@pearl I read that interview too (in a translated version, of course ;P). Well, if that is what the opposites need to play better and better, maybe Bartman should devote his free time to finding his true love:P @berny Is that the example of your provoking pearl? :P
But the difference is, pearl, that Baranowicz is still very young and will have his chance of playing a lot of games in a good club, I'm sure. Łukasz is 32 years old - too young to be a second setter and waste time sitting on the bench and too old to hope for many years of play ahead of him, though setters generally play longer, than opposites, for that matter. Btw, Baranowicz played as a first-choice setter in Resovia Rzeszów last year, good club (not as good as Cuneo, of course) in which he had chance to practice, play every game in starting six and get better by it. Hope it was useful for him and that he learnt something :) But Resovia wants success and they want it now. Michal was too inexperienced and his performance was a little shaky, so the changed him. Can't say they're playing way better this season, but Tichacek is - for now - a better setter than Baranowicz. I hope, thought, that being in the same team as great Nikola Grbic, training with him and learning from Nikola will help Baranowicz improve:) I'm not a big fan of Raphael, by the way, but not because he is the first-choice setter and Łukasz isn't. And he is good, too. Just don't like him, hard to explain, really. Plus, Nikola was wayyy better and I really liked him in Trentino :)
But no practice, even the hardest one, can compensate for lack of regular playing in matches, I think. Of course, trainings are extremely important, it is where you work to get better and practice your technique , but it should then be followed by practicing the learnt skills also in matches. Trainings are "comfortable" situations, so to speak. There is no stress, you can make a lot of mistakes because that's the role of the training to rule them out. It's totally different, when you play in a game (and for example a very important one) and your every decision can influence the result. The atmosphere, the pace of the game, everything is different. Also, on the training you play with guys you know and can predict what they're gonna do. In matches you play against gusy that you may not know so well and you can learn something new from them. I have never said bad thing about Łukasz, I actually like him and I think that he is a very good setter. And he is more appreciated in Poland now, after this national team season. But I would still say that he is a little worse then Zagumny. Łukasz's way of setting is more predictable, he plays a lot with the wing spikers and too little with middle blockers for me (though that has improved this year). In the World League it was almost obvious that most of the difficult balls he is gonna set to Kurek, whereas Zagumny can aways surprise you and set to middle blockers, set faster balls and so on. But I think that Łukasz is better in defense, picks up more balls.
I don't know if I should be afraid of being on your "people to provoke" list or not :P just kidding! I'll be here tomorrow for sure, so you can practice your skills in provoking ;-) Good night!
Berny, I've been visiting this site for a year now :P I am new to you, but you are not new to me :P It always takes me time until I finally feel I want to start writing :P And unfortunately, not going to work without a reason that my boss would understand (and for him it certainly isn't "I spent whole night watching volleyball"; weird, I know :P) is not a good idea in the time of the economic crisis :P How would I earn the money to go and watch all those volleyball games live? :P

Thanks pearl! I'll watch it for sure. Maybe not today as it is already late and my job awaits me in the morning :)
