We have different points of view. In final European Bira has replaced Buti solving problems with the server, idem in WC. I am among those who would have insisted on the WL team without senators. Then the insertion of MB Fei brought more confusion than benefit, see the decisive match with Poland which is found without change to the opposite . Bira is not a blockmachine but if it uses for its features it becomes very useful .This is what I think, evidently Berruto thinks very differently, I hope he is right.

The first tournament of Berruto was the WL, and there Bira played titoular. Later (at the beginning of the EC - Buti was titoular with Mastro - and in the WC) Berruto chosed other options. That made me think that firstly Berruto wanted to trust in Bira, but THEN he realized he coudln't and look for other options. Imo is Bira that didn't show that he deserved to be trusted (and that's way Berruto lost the faith in him). I'm sorry about that feeling I have about the "italian" Bira, because as I said before with Trento he is a wonderful player. Also Anastasi at the WCH started with Bira titoular, than preferred Sala. In Trento is the opposite, Trento was consider better than Sala...

The air of Trento has nothing special. Berruto never had confidence flat in Bira proves the fact that she even moved Fei MB and if not by the trust for a player this is partly blocked. Travica is not surely Rapha and this is clear enough to see them play. efficiency in server of Trento, in addition to the skill of the players, is the result of hard work the philosophy of mistake is less possible to Trento in many games is the winning weapon.

I agree with your word Raylight, expecialli in your first post! Is the "air" of Trento that give confident to everyone, expecially in serve imo, is insane that they make so few mistakes and so many aces! But the thing of the "standard" rapresented by Fei and Mastro doesn't fit imo, because it was true also in the WL where he was titoular with Buti... BTW, I agree with you pearl, Travica has a part in it, and the proof of it is that his feeling with Buti is defintly higher, but at the same time if Mastro, Fei, even Barone when he had the chance can play well with Travica (not to mention Staknovic, Pajenk, Podraskanin...) we have to assume that Bira is responsable "biggest" part. Actually Mastro is another history because he is really good in making point (also with tips) with awful sets ;)

Pearl, to play a lot with the middles, you need players like Simon, Muserskiy, Riad or Juric, people who can make holes on the floor, or very smart and technical players like Lebl. There aren't many MB's that can be main attackers for series of matches :) Travica seems similar to Zhekov to me, so for both we can expect from them to be efficient with MB's, everything else will be bonus :)

Right! In addition to that you also have to consider that Travica is not exactly famous for playing with MBs a lot :D

It also depends on the system of play, the moments when the MB spikes, the other spikers, the type of setting in the Middle / there are 101 type of sets in the middle if you vary the height, the tempo, the place of the spike, in relation to reception /. And it depends on psychology as well :)

In NT the "feeling" between Drago and Bira is still a "work-in-progress" :) Look at the difference when Travica plays with Buti (they're definetely more incisive than Dragan and Bira); I think it depends on the fact that Travica and Buti have played together for long time in a club and also in NT. In Trento Lele's performances are better 'cause he is used to playing with Raphael or Zygadlo every day and the harmony between him and his club setters is reliable and well-established.

Кк15, I didn't have cut material for his serve and wanted to make the video, that's why it is not there :) About Bira, in Trento he often is a key player, plays confidently and with less errors. They have the magic, which makes them more efficient as a whole than independantly. Having oustide hitters who can decide sets even vs triple block can make the job of middle spiker easier, too. Also, Stoychev works well with MB's, they are not primary spikers, but very efficient there. Bulgarian NT had for a first time since I don't remember when 60% in attack in the middle for the whole ECH competition, and usually we have 50%. About the Italy NT, he may be feels overshadowed by Fei and Mastrangelo and compares his results to them, using them as standard, and that can be troublesome for the psychic of the player

But you forgot the serve, I think Birarelli has one of the annoyinf float serve of the Italian Championship^^ BTW, about the player, I have a problem with Bira: I like him in Trento, but not in the NT. With Italy, sometimes he seems lost to me. Travica is not very precise, and that doesn't help (I mean, they don't have a nice 'intesa'), but more than once happened that he committed few errors in a row (or was blocked)... and when he start playing quite badly he rarely can get out of that pshicological tough situation. I mean, exept for the serve and sometimes for the block I rarely found my self thinking "what a brillant match Bira played". But with Trento he defintly take advantages (in a good way) of the selfcofidence that the whole Trento trasmitt. With Trento more than once he gave me the impression of being brillant. What to you think about that? :)

Nice video raylight, really. I like the fact that many actions are in slow-motion so it is possible to see the way Lele tends to spike. BTW have you noticed his peculiarity? have you noticed that while he's jumping to spike, he stretches his arms out in such a way that he almost seems to be hanging from an invisible hook in the air?? Am i the only one to be under such impression??
