USA coach John Speraw said: “I was very happy with the way we started. I think Micah (Christenson) continues to improve in the way he runs our offence. The second and third sets were similar in some regards. Iran started serving the ball much tougher. They switched to jump serves. They were getting us to pass the ball off the net. When you’re playing that game with Iran, it can be very difficult. Their defence is very good and their transition is very good.”
