at Kk15: yes it is, it's our best player ever so :( No idea, not HEYNEN NOT AT ALL!. I don't think belgian trainers are good enough for that, Baeyens stays in Roeselare for one year, Heynen as coach is like in school many stupid rules like a teacher would give to you, and Gewehr looks like he has to go to the toilet so nervous is he! Maybe an Italian or something will do as coach :)

I agree that Gewehr isn't a verry good coach, but who has to be coach if he isn't?

He doesn't play NT of Belgium for more than 5 years or longer (7no?) because in that time he didn't like the way of working in NT and he said 'Many things has to change if you want me back in NT!' Now for 2 years it's getting better with out NT, but Wijsmans decided to become Italian.. :)

@ oli4: it wasn't an excuse. the federation said it also before the matches. for the EC, the missing players will be there.

Gewehr is the baddest coach we could have, I was there yesterday and the whole crowd saw the nervous Gewehr, being busy with scouting, to many subs, he just can't make a real team! Because of his obvious, nervous behaviour the team start to panic! That's not the only reason we lost, Slovenia is just better and has more power with Gasparini and Urnaut :) But we are lucky, this wasn't Belgiums best team. With Depestele, Van De Craen, Callebert (or Blairon) and Van Walle, our team would be much better. Belgium's biggest target is the European Championship, not the EL. Coach Gewehr said that to, but i guess that's more an excuse for his loss ;)

I readed about Derkoningen that he didn't react on his invitation for the NT. More I also don't know.

True Belgium didn't play with their best team, but don't forget that Slovenia is a good team (they'll also play in European Championship, and they have players like Urnaut, Gasparini, Radovic, and a few players from ACH Bled) about Derkoninghen... I heard something about him and Claudio Gewehr having an issue, so he don't wants to play for the national team for now... But I don't know the exact reason

I agree with volleymaster, we are playing with five 21 years old players and the others two are only 25 years...so we can't expect them to beat teams like slovenia because they lack of experience and they aren't in their best shape (still working on the team). Belgian A team will be much stronger I hope =) Ps: Do you know why Derkoningen is not on the list?...

it's not so bad. the target is the European Chapionships and not the European league. In the Europian League, Gewehr let just everybody play. did you see the team? next (starting) players waren't in the team: Frank Depestele, Manu Callebert, Gert Van Walle and Jo Van Decraen (injuried), Sam Deroo (junior team) does this say enough?

Belgium lost with Slovenia two matches.It isn't good news fo their fans? what do you think samueleke ?
