"If Gavotto, Travica and Exiga will play like that, they will face Trento in semi-final. ", I agree, but I think that Bruno is playing very well, also considering the short time he has been playing in this team.
The fact is that these two teams have some difficult to keep their level high, not only during the same match, but also from a week to another... So, it's hard to imagine who'll win. Also because Monza is going to play in Modena
Really hard to say who'll win in both matches, but may be Macerata has more chance (but I wouldn't bet for sure)!

O____O!! I've never seen smth like this too! I "hope" he was distract, otherwise it means he don't have great reaction skillXD
About the 3rd...

come on Cuneo!!!!!! =) And good job for Trento too, of course, as always.
Silsley's reaction wasn't unexpected to me (but Macerata commetted too many mistakes, and that was quite unexpected). probably I'll prefer Macerata to join the semifinal, but better if tiredXD, so Cuneo'll have a better chance to get the final?
Too bad Sisley lost the match with Fei playing at such high level! Fortunally at the end they won the CevCup^^ And yes, the setter isn't Pujol, but Boninfante. @Nightfox: when I read about Soytchev becoming coach of Bulgaria, I thought "OMG, they are going to be unstoppable!!". I think you're definitly right in having big expectation! About Ervin N'GAPETH, I heard he won't play in his NT because he was squalified or smth... what happened?
Alessandro Fei 13 years ago +2
yes, he is a very good blocker considering he is not a middle blocker! (but he was=)! ps I've is autograph too =)
Cristian Savani 13 years ago 0
Excellent spiker (also in pipe and as opposite), smart player (if he saw a free zone in the other court it's a problem for the othersXD), really poerful serve (even if smtimes he committs too many mistakes), and actually good block too and not bad defence. He had to work in reception, but he is a great player, and a good leader on the court!
[Today I read that at the end Japan will partecipate, but they won't play at home=)]

"Anyone see Klok get hit in the face by Gortzen when he tries to receive Poey's serve? " HeeelMooi, don't you think that the ball (and not Gortzen hand) hitted Klok? (look the second replay... honestly i'm not sure but it may be...) Juantorena, Poey and Portuondo are so young!! cute=) And Bontje tooXD Cala instaed seems to be always the same^^
OMG!
Bulgarian NT will play without Salparov and his K Nikolov (fortunally Sokolov is playing very well). Italy will play without Parodi; French will play without Henno and Antiga, Polish NT will play with......(poor Anastasi!); Japan NT probably won't play at all; Cuba can't play in Cuba.

This WL is really unlucky!!!

@raylight: it isn't an ankle injury, but a knee injury... And that's usually worse=(
saku, It wasn't a new, Mastro played as OH also in the 1st match?
But of course for him is hard to play too many sets in a row, because MB rest while the Libero takes their place on the backrow, in fact after the match he said that in the 3rd set (I think) Giuliani Chosen to let him rest and to give an opportunity to Wijsman, and in the 5th Mastro played as MB and Wijsman as OH as normal?

HeeelMooi, thanks, I meant this? I had no idea it is called side-out!

ps I read that Nikolov was the most constant of Cuneo's spikers, with 20 points in attack on 41, 1 mistake and yes, 10 blocked spikes. Plus 2 aces and 1 block.
Good movie! The music fits quite well even if it's not my favourite kind of song, and I like that you use a lot of sequence form Cuneo's matches=) With him Cuneo get stronger than before (somthing hard to believeXD), he has an excellent serve and amazing attack skill. Good block too=). What else do you need?=)
This time he was forced to play because Cuneo attack level was decreasing a lot... The commentator said that probably Giulian would like him to wait for the next match. But as I said, he did quite well?
Nikolov played far better in the 1st match, I think. (considering that I didn't saw the first set and most part of the second).

Oli4, I've seen the match only from the end of the third set, but I generally agree with you. I'll add that also Wijsman did a quite good job, considering is ankle problem. Patriarca's performance wasn't such good as you said. Peda played quite well too. And they made many serve mistakes... Otherwise, Verona played very well, expecially at the biginning of the 4th set (exellent block)

ps Michal Lasko was the second italian opposite (the first was Fei). For the WL I think he his going to be our first choice (also considering Parodi's injury... I heard that Berruto was thinking about using Savani as "false-opposite" with Parodi and Zaytsev as OH.
I litteraly traslate it from italianXD
I'll try to explain what I meant... in volleyball you have two phases, the break-point phase (when your own team is serving - we call it in that way also in italian), and the "change-ball" phase, when the other team is serving...

I'm sure Bruno did a good job also in the first match, but i can't judge because unfotunatly I didn't see it?

He said that it was difficult to him to do his job against Monza because they have a good block, and he also said that he likes using the MB for change-ball phase (is it right in english?).
I think he made a very good choice because Monza's MB were always ready to block Modena MB, so often they coudn't reach the wings in time and they leave Dennis or Modena OH with one blocker
The sequence of the second set of Modena-Monza:

2° set: 0-4, 3-6, 4-9, 4-11, 6-13, 15-16, 16-18, 17-21, 22-24, 24-25, 25-26, 27-26, 29-27
O_O!

This one wasn't Monza best day... They made many mistakes.
Bruno was great.
Today great match for Modena. They won 3-0 on Monza, that didn't play such good... In the second set they were twice a lot of point over Modena, and they let Modena came back in to the set with 3-4 spike errors in a row, a lot of mistake at serve in the final part of the set, failing 2 set-point... and losing 29-27.

Modena-Monza 3-0 (25-18; 29-27; 25-15)

Edit: sorry I hadn't noticed there's a different discussion for the 2nd quarterfinals

I've never understood it well, but I know that Wijsman had to wait in tribun few weeks at the beginning of the season - he missed three matches - in order to play as italian (even if he is italian since almost an year- I remember him saying he was pleased to win the Italian Cup as italian...but maybe I'm wrong). Juantorena's sportive nationality is still Cuba (I checked on Lega SerieA official website), even if he has already got the passport... I'll try to figure out this rulez^^
you are right, on Raisport website you can just find the italian matches of the last world championship and the final... (or, i was able to find just these macthesXD)

Michal, I'll try with rutracker.org, thanks?
